Horn of Africa Organization for Peace, Conflict Resolution and Development

Programs

Our work is organized around five interconnected programs. Together they address the causes of conflict and help communities recover, grow stronger and take part in public life.

Peacebuilding, Mediation & Conflict Resolution

Conflict prevention, mediation, dialogue, reconciliation, and creating common ground among communities and conflicting parties.

Women, Youth & Inclusive Political Participation

Strengthening the meaningful participation and leadership of women, youth, and marginalized communities in peace processes, governance, political dialogue, and decision-making.

Humanitarian Action, Protection & Community Resilience

Supporting conflict-affected, displaced, and vulnerable communities through locally led and rights-based humanitarian responses, protection, and resilience-building.

Research, Advocacy & Policy Influence

Conducting research and advocacy to influence public policy, humanitarian planning, peace negotiations, and political processes, with an emphasis on equitable and gender-responsive solutions.

Sustainable Development & Community Empowerment

Strengthening community capacities and supporting inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development, particularly in communities affected by conflict and displacement.
